What's for dessert?

Kerry has been in this book club called the "What's for dessert Bookclub" for around 10 years. This is the latest picture. I don't know very much of what happens at bookclub, I think they are forbidden to talk about it under penalty of death. I know once a month there is a mad dash to finish the book and then a late night meeting (party) that takes several days to recover from. I am not sure they actually talk about the books but I am glad she has such good friends.

Snow? I'll take pictures.

Kerry's brother Justin and family are in town for the wedding. They live in Florida and were very excited to see it snow. They ran right out to shovel. (while it was still snowing - rookies) The shoveling turned into a snowball fight. It was fun for them because they never get to see it. I see it all the time and know there will be plenty of shoveling for all of us. Tomorrow morning, 6 am, that is when I would like some help with the snow.

The Newlyweds

It took these love birds longer to find each other than most couples but we are very happy for them to finally be together. Kerry's mom Kathy married Ben on Dec. 12 in the Bountiful temple. It was so nice to have family and friends gather from Florida to California. There was a little drama to it when the sealer had a mini-stroke, but he lasted long enough to perform the ordinance. We came back the next day to finish some other family sealings. It was two special days in the temple. We are very grateful to have a chance to go to the temple.

Happy Thanksgiving...last month

We had such big plans for Thanksgiving. We had lots of people coming and we were going to do so many fun things. But then lots of people got sick and no one wanted to go anywhere or do anything. We took a few pictures, and had our traditional thanksgiving pinata (who doesn't?) but overall it was a pretty low-key weekend.

Sadie told me that she is grateful for all the 'good things' in her life. I tried to remind her that even the 'bad things' can teach us and help us too. I am not sure she was listening.

Go Titans!

We went to the semi-final state football game this week down in SLC at the U. It was fun to get out of school early and be together. Our team got killed, but we were proud of them anyway. Last year they were 0-10, this year they ended up 10-3. A pretty great turn around. It was so fun even though they lost...and it was cold...and rainy.

Bosten comes home

They still have a rough road ahead of them and will need all our prayers, but baby Bosten came home today. We hope the lawyers are able to sort it all out. He is sure a cute baby, and Kaden is excited. Sadie loved holding him and can't wait to be a mom someday.

PS - the other day Sadie told me she has changed her mind on what she wants to be when she grows up. She said it used to be an "Army guy" and now it is "Mom". I didn't explain that you can be more than one thing, we will just stick with "Mom" for now.
