A new Deacon

As if I needed another reminder that I am getting older, Tanner recently turned twelve and was ordained a Deacon. Today was the first time he passed the sacrament. He was really nervous, we even went over yesterday and figured out which route he would be on and where he would go.

He did great though, no problems. He was able to pass to me first, then the rest of the family (including Kyle, Shelby, and Kaden) all sat in his route. It was a big day for him and we are very proud of him.

Camping?

The kids love camping. But we missed the ward campout because Kerry and I were at EFY. They felt cheated so a couple of weeks ago we went with the Nielsons. We went tubing down the nearly frozen creek, did a little dutch ovening, and even some sitting. The next campout is probably in May. Let the countdown begin.

Now the Grandma's can bathe

I am sure Kerry will have more ideas, but as far as I am concerned, the downstairs "Grandma's bathroom" is done. It turned out really nice. It was the last unfinished room in the house, and it turned out the best. Notice the diagonal-heated-tile. (which was a nightmare but is also nice.) You can't tell, but the toilet is higher than normal. "comfort height". So the ladies can swing their legs while they sit.

Three Litte Ninjas

Sadie has been interested in karate for a long time. She and I have been kicking the bags for a while, but just recently the boys started to be 'willing' to practice too. So, today I gathered the three of them in the basement and we had our first official workout together. I hope they like it and get as obsessed with it as I am.

Brian Regan

Kerry and I went with the Kaylors to see Brian Regan at Thanksgiving Point. It was so fun. We sat about 2/3rds whe way up, (next time we will come earlier I guess). There were about a million people, (but we still ran into the Lomu's and it was nice to see them.) Brian did mostly new stuff. (I laughed hard when he talked about going to see the ballet and how much he "loved trying to learn to like it a little.") He was pretty flexible and fun. He mixed in old stuff throughout and took requests at the end like "Pop Tarts" and "Golf animal noises". I missed some of my favorite jokes, like "You too" and "Take Luck". He is going to have another special on Comedy Central in Sept, so set your DVR's.

Man I am wierd lookin. Kerry looks nice though.
