Sunday morning we got up early. I had meetings and Sadie wanted to open her presents before I left. She was very nice and cute. Later we had pink cupcakes.

The Princess is Five
It is Sadie's birthday. Devon and Michelle came to visit. I asked Sadie if she wanted to open presents on Saturday or Sunday. She said, "both". We started the celebration by going to SLC to "Build a Bear". The pictures show to birth of Ella the white and pink bear. First she is stuffed, then washed, then dressed and named. Yes, that is a wedding dress. It didn't have sleaves, but Sadie found a pink top that made it more modest. She was very cute about it.

Great to be Eight
Colby had a birthday today. We got up early to open presents before school. He lots some good loot, and just as nice...no homework at school. It was nearly a perfect day. He picked our menu for dinner. Pizza, Doritos, Kool-aid with Sprite in it, and brownies with icing. We can't believe he is 8 years old, he is growing up so fast.

Study your scriptures often
What can Brown do for you?
I passed the test back in Feb. but didn't actually get my Brown Belt until last night. It is pretty exciting. I have been studying for about 5 years. I have only seen three other people become Brown Belts at our school, so it was kind of a big deal. My instructor, Master Aranda gave a little speech and told everyone how dedicated I was and how much I have grown since I first started. It is a new level of pressure now because even more than ever I have to be the guy who knows the answers or can demonstrate whatever technique the Black Belts want me to. But it should be fun and one more step towards becoming a Black Belt.

Kerry's Gators Win
Although she was sick and fell asleep, Kerry's Florida Gators won March Madness again. In our family contest her bracket won too. (She wins lunch at Costa Vida) Kerry had 1530 points, I had 1510, followed by Devon at 1100. In the nationwide ESPN contest, Kerry ened up in 412th place, I was in 1058th. Those seem like big numbers, but it is pretty good for millions of people. Sadie picked her bracket based on uniform color and ended up in 3 millionth place or so. The moral of the story is Kerry really knows her NCAA basketball.
