It's what fun is?

Tanner and Colby recently got stuck on the rollercoaster Colossus. They were up there about 15 minutes before the worker guys got it going again. They said it wasn't too scary, but there were some people freaking out. (I would have been.) I guess there are worse places on the ride to get stuck.

EFY 2009

Kerry and I went to EFY this last week. We were assigned to a Salt Lake session. Here is Kerry with our teachers John Bytheway and Brad Wilcox, they are rockstars.
Our favorite times are always being with the counselors, here is Kerry walking the tightrope on free time.
Service project.
Long boarding with a van.

A busy couple of weeks

Sadie got promoted to a yellow belt, she is pretty excited.
We went to the 24th of July party with some friends from the neighborhood. It was so great.

Italian ice doesn't hurt.

Game playing (Monopoly card game)

Next, we went boating.

Tanner goes to Scout Camp

I was very nervous sending Tanner off to Scout Camp for a week. I just don't understand scouting and nature. I think the kids got some of that too, Tanner was nervous but wanted to go. It had more to do with being with his friends than earning merit badges. Our ward sent 13 young men to Camp. Surprisingly they all came home.
We all missed him while he was gone, even Colby and Sadie admitted missing Tanner. He told us that he was homesick, but stayed busy so the time went fast. We wrote him letters and hid them in his bags, he said that helped. Later in the week I went up and spent a day with them. (There are some weird scout people out there, and I was surrounded by them. - that is a whole other story) Tanner and I had a great time shooting guns and bows and arrows together. It was very nice to get Tanner back.

Happy 4th of July!

We decided to just light fireworks at home this year.
Nothing was as fun as the sparklers.
We are sure proud to be Americans.

When you touch the temple, the temple touches you.

We went to the Oqurrih (I swear that is not a real word) temple open house. It was great to show the kids and watch them see things in the temple. Sadie decided she wants to be married in this temple.
The temple is amazing inside. Tanner got to go later that night with the young men's of the ward. Two trips on the same day. No wonder he is so good.

Lagoon? Really?

We decided to get summer passes to Lagoon.  We haven't been for years (Sadie has never been) but we thought that although it is expensive, it will be fun if we only go for a couple of hours a time.  We are especially excited about the water park area.  Hopefully once a week won't get old.
Colby and I having a relaxing ride and talk.
The kids were pretty fearless and went on nearly everything we wanted to.  Kerry is really the daredevil of our family.  No one can keep up with her.  She wants to ride everything.  My stomach can't take it.  Sadie was so brave although she screamed through half the rides "I hate this ride!"
The duck family was there too.
The ladies go soaked.
