Brian Regan

Kerry and I went with the Kaylors to see Brian Regan at Thanksgiving Point. It was so fun. We sat about 2/3rds whe way up, (next time we will come earlier I guess). There were about a million people, (but we still ran into the Lomu's and it was nice to see them.) Brian did mostly new stuff. (I laughed hard when he talked about going to see the ballet and how much he "loved trying to learn to like it a little.") He was pretty flexible and fun. He mixed in old stuff throughout and took requests at the end like "Pop Tarts" and "Golf animal noises". I missed some of my favorite jokes, like "You too" and "Take Luck". He is going to have another special on Comedy Central in Sept, so set your DVR's.

Man I am wierd lookin. Kerry looks nice though.

Longest week ever

A week ago Kerry headed out to Florida for a cross country trip with her mom. So, I took the week off to hang out with the kids. It has been really fun, but long. The kids have been great but I love my routines and this has really thrown me. I don't feel like myself at all. Anyway, we have played video games and watched movies all week. You would think that laying around reading books and taking naps would get old. But it hasn't. We are missing Kerry alot though. It will be a long few more days until she gets back.

We have loved having a Wii. The boys will do any homework or chores if it means they can play. And the Wii Fit has been a good workout too.

Here is our little princess. She loves the towel on the head thing. She loves doing her nails and make-up. I can't imagine that will get worse, will it?

Colorado!

We went to Colorado for a few days to see Grandma and Grandpa, we went with Devon and Michelle, it was fun to be with them. We did lots of fun things, Grandpa works at the rec center where we swam and climbed the rock wall.

The kids are so worn out from all the fun. Besides swimming, we also went to the movies, did projects for Grandma, went out to eat with Grandpa. The kids had a ball going through all our old toys. Sadie learned to do dishes and loved it. She argued with the boys and wanted to take their turns. They were very nice, and let her.

They all came home with new/old toys and Sadie even got some new clothes. I got a new gun. Both the clothes and the gun are pretty.

We went to Mesa Verde and saw the ruins. It is always neat to do a little hiking and see some history. The kids were fearless as they scampered around the cliffs and edges. They gave me a heart attack. I think I lost several years off my life.

We appreciate everyone making this such a nice trip for us.

Seven fast and full months

Our computer is really struggling, and I can't blog from work anymore, so I haven't done much with this all year. And I feel this guilt hanging over me because of it. (even though I doubt anyone visits) But, I have to start again. So, here are some of the milestones we reached....

- In December I offically got my black belt. The actual test was a horrible experience, but it is over. 6 years or so of work. I feel a nice sense of accomplishment, but not so much a sport as kind of a life style. I have been asked to teach a class at the school, but I just don't think I have the time.

-We all finished another year of school. The kids are excited to have a summer and are trying to forget everything they ever learned. Sadie is excited to be in the first grade, Kerry is exicted to have an empty house.

- Kerry and I just got back from EFY in Mississippi. it was so fun. (Is it bad that the highlight was hanging out with our friends Dave and Shelley, in the mansion where we stayed, and not the actual EFY stuff?) It is good for us to get away though. Grandma Robb came and stayed with the kids and they all had a ball.

-Our Guinea pig died. Very sad for Colby. Also sad for Kerry as she will not have a cage to clean anymore.

-Things at work and church just roll along, my student body is growing (I have two new teachers) and the ward just gets bigger every week. Keeping things staffed and finding room for everyone has been an adventure.

I am sure there are 100's of things I should have put in here, but it's probably just me reading this anyway. I am really good at keeping a journal...

The first snow!!

It snowed this week and the kids ran right out. (the adults remember what it is like and stayed inside.)
It snowed again today and they all ran out. It was so great. I am excited that they are interested in shoveling.

When Kyle lives with us

Kyle is a trickster. When he stays with us you never know what funny things will happen. This is how Colby found his stuffed animal posing on his bed the other day.
